Darrell Lake is an award-winning actor, director, writer and producer. His work is influenced by his diverse background: growing up in Sierra Leone, Guinea, The Gambia, Ghana, United Kingdom, Eritrea and the US. He created the Stage 13/Warner Bros. short-form comedy series, The Incredible Life of Darrell, which he also wrote, starred in, directed and executive produced. 

He has guest starred in TV shows such as Doc, 9-1-1, and Hawaii Five 0.

His other acting work has received numerous awards, including the Grand Jury Prize at SXSW and a Special Jury Award at the Sundance Film Festival for the short film Emergency, where he played the lead.

His writing and directing work has screened at festivals including the Los Angeles Film Festival, NBCUniversal Short Film Festival, New York Television Festival, Pan African Film Festival, and American Black Film Festival, among others.

Darrell’s focus is on telling stories that show the multifaceted dimensions of humanity, and draw on his world-spanning background to bring a fresh and unique perspective to how the human experience is shared on screen.
